Mannheim Steamroller

For my mom's birthday, My dad got tickets to the Mannheim Streamroller Christmas Concert. Since Jordan and I helped him get these tickets we thought we should tag along. I thought I would share some of the pictures we took. It was so fun to hang out with my parents and my brother and have grown up time. Thanks Jen for watching my kids.

Santa Claus Came to the Garls!

It was our lucky night! Santa Claus came to see the Garl Kids and some of their friends. My Dad should earn award for being the best dad ever for doing this. He was so cute! I am not sure if in this picture Gordon is realizing it was his Papa. Hayleigh was still kind of scared, so Grandma was showing her he was ok I think she was a little to lovey dovey with Santa. JK
Hayleigh finally realized he wasn't that scary

Daddy's Christmas Tree

We started this tradition last year. We go to Joann's and get a little tree and then I let the kids pick out little ordiments for Gordon's Christmas Tree. The kids have had so much fun with doing this. As do I. I just feel bad it is a fake tree. We all know how he felt about that. Here are a few pictures from our morning.
As you can see they were so cold. We didn't get to stay very long. I know "where are their coats" In the car!

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice came to town and it was all of the Disney Princesses. Hayleigh has been so excited to go. Her face says it all. She wanted to wear her sleeping beauty dress, I tried to talk her out of it, but her fight was all of the girls in the commerical are wearing theirs, so I need to wear mine. How can I fight with that.

The Perfect Sat Night

Today and this evening we got a lot of snow, well I don' t know how much but it kept coming down. So I decided to put someone else's life in danger and order chinese food and we had a little pinic in the family room and watch polor express. As you can see I have a nice big thick blanket underneath them to protect my carpet. It was really fun to do this with my kids and just to sit back and relax. Gordon and Hayleigh loved this movie.

Salvation Army

For Thanksgiving and this last Saturday I was able to set up times for the Young Women to go help at that Salvation army. I remeber when I was in high school, my mom would always have the youth in our ward walk over to the Salvation army and help out after school and it was such a great experience for me. For Thanksgiving we delivered meals to older people that couldn't leave there homes. It was a reminder me on how blest I am. This last Saturday we cleared off the shelfs behind us and packed boxes of toys. It was the perfect thing to do to start this christmas season off right.

Our Christmas Tree

I know it is early, but I was too excited to get our house decorated for Christmas. Plus Nick's Nursery was having a sale on their REAL trees and Santa and his reindeer where going to be there. My childern are deathly afraid of Santa Claus, so we just hung out with the reindeer. Gordon was so amazed by them, He didn't even care about the tree
I tried to get a picture of all three of us, but Gordon kept running off, He is at this stage where he hates his picture taken.

Our Beautiful Tree after we were finished
As I was finishing Decorating the tree I looked over and Hayleigh and Gordon were sitting in the middle of my Stuffed Penguin collection and all the other Christmas Stuffed animals . It was really cute

Trick or Treating

I took these pictures after I posted the last Halloween post and thought these were really cute. They were so tired when we got back from Trick or treating.

Happy Halloween

This picture is suppose to be at the bottom, but for some reason I can't figure out this website. Hayleigh brought her pre school class to grandma's work to go trick n Treating to the people that live at Harvard Square

Happy Halloween! Hayleigh is sleeping Beauty and Gordon was a lion. I wanted Hayleigh to be Dorothy, but I guess she has her on opinion now, which I am not liking. Her Grandma Peck made her this really cute snow white dress for her Birthday, but she wouldn't go for that. She was set in her mind she wanted to be sleeping beauty. Lucky for me a co-worker gave me a sleeping beauty dress about 18 months ago, and I was so happy when I found it in the closet. I had forgotten about it.

This is Gordon and his really good buddy Daniel. We went to Grandma's work this morning and went trick n treating to the residents of Harvard Square. It is really fun to see the smiles on their faces.

Great Grandpa Barnard and Great Grandma Donna

My Grandpa and Donna came to Denver this last weekend for Jason's Homecoming. It was so fun to see them and spend some time with them. They haven't been here since Gordon's 1st Birthday. My Grandpa is one of the funniest people I know and taught me all of my basketball skills. Well some of them. It has been awhile since we played. I think he is afraid that I am going to beat him. We love Donna. We are so glad she is there to take care of our Grandpa!

I thought these were cute of Jordan, Tyler and Blake,
I just had to throw this one in, Gordon was laying on me and I thought he looked so cute. I love his eyes.

Pumpkin Patch

This last weekend I took the kids to a pumpkin patch. As you can see Gordon picked out the biggest pumpkin he could find. I actually bought him two because they were so small. I think the funnest part for them was washing them.

Grandma and Papa came with us, but thanks Uncle Jordan and Blake for coming too. Well Blake was tricked into coming. He was soooo Happy to be there. But he got a pumpkin out of it

Fall Leaves

Our favorite thing to do this fall is going to Papa's and Grandma's and playing in the leaves. I am sure my dad loves that he works so hard to make these big piles and we spread them back out for him. But the kids love it.

This last time, I bought some of those Pumpkin bags, so we could help clean up our mess. I think the kids had as much fun picking up the leaves as they did playing in them.

Welcome Home Jason!

My cousin Jason just got back on Monday from serving a 2 year Mission in Mexico. It was so much fun going to the airport to welcome him home. Here are the Winters/Garls that were able to go.

The Hammonds-We missed you Jeff and Tara, But I guess if your having a baby in a week it is understandable.- Kind of. JK
While we were waiting I took Pictures of Hayleigh and Luke. Here are a couple of them.

Dishes

My kids love to do dishes. Every Sunday at Grandma's and Papas, we have to do dishes as fast as we can, before Gordon realizes it. He loves to do dishes. But he always figures it out and wants to help. I guess I should be grateful, but it is such a huge mess. At least it is a Grandma's house and not mine. He does like the empty the dish washer for me at our house. I had to take some pictures to remind him on how much fun dishes are for when he gets older.
